A Day in D.C. with Markelle Fultz and his Longtime Trainer

On June 22nd, 2017, to approximately no one’s surprise, the Philadelphia 76ers selected Markelle Fultz as the number one pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. Fultz’s reputation is that of a humble player, a hard worker, and someone always faithful to the grind.

Part of that faith is attributed to Fultz’s longtime trainer, Keith Williams; Williams’ workouts were notoriously tough, and Fultz would occasionally not talk to Williams after a workout ended. But a father-son type relationship bloomed anyway.
